Production and Technology Manager (Polifoam, Dabas)

When did you join the company? What was your first position?

I started working on the production line in September 2012 as a temporary (agency) worker, and 2 years later, in February 2014, I was hired by Polifoam.

Tell us about your background and qualifications.

Before I came here, I got a degree in logistics at the Budapest Business School. I wanted to study more, and I was looking for a job I could do while at college. That’s why I chose Polifoam. It was shift manager István Bokodi who hired me and he was my supervisor.

When I joined the company I was doing a part time programme at the Budapest College of Technology (now Óbuda University), where I later got a degree in engineering management.

What led to your appointment?

After graduation, in the spring of 2017, Márk Vértesaljai offered me the position of technology engineer at the Technology Department he was the head of.

After a while my job involved the project led by Kamilla Tasi, the design of the production method of our new facility in Dabas. Since the autumn of 2020, I’ve been working as the Production and Technology Manager of this site.

What are your key responsibilities today?

The development of the production environment of rubber foam.

You joined the company almost 10 years ago. Why do still like working here?

Mostly because of the atmosphere—we work here as a real team, and also because of the opportunities for improvement and the company development concepts that senior management has introduced in recent years. It is great that regardless of their position, anyone can ask anyone for help.

Share something with us about your private life, about your hobbies so that we can get to know you a little bit better. Is a work-life balance difficult to achieve?

I don’t have children yet, so it is really easy, but I think it won’t be a problem in the future, either, as work-life balance is a part of our corporate culture.

My hobby is travelling and getting to know other cultures. When you travel, you explore the world and yourself.

What is your advice for new hires? What should they do to have such a successful career at Trocellen?

The time and energy you put in your work, the ideas you use and efforts you take always pay off in the right environment.

The people you work with on a day-to-day basis also play an important role. I hope you will be as lucky as I’ve been here with my colleagues.
