Production of TR-EECell:
This innovative product consists almost entirely of raw materials from biomass, that is sugar cane.
The ethanol needed for our PE foam comes from the fermented sugar cane juices extracted during the third, fourth, or fifth pressing of the sugar cane, which is no longer suitable for human consumption. From the polymerization of this ethanol, the polymers required for the creation of bio-based PE foam are obtained. The remaining sugar cane leaves are burned, thus producing energy in the sugar and ethanol production process. This also makes an important contribution to sustainability.
