I work for people and with people to help them do their jobs in a comfortable, effective, and enjoyable way. Information technology is the tool; people are what truly matter.

How long have you been working for the company, and in which position did you start?

I have been working at Trocellen since 2002. It is easy for me to remember the year because it is also the year my eldest son was born. I started my career at Trocellen as SAP Manager for Trocellen Italia.

What educational background do you come from?

I graduated in Electrical Engineering and started my professional career in 1998 as an Electrical Systems Designer. Later, I became interested in SAP, which was an emerging technology at the time, and I applied for a position at an SAP consulting company.

How were you promoted to your current position?

After a few years, I moved from SAP Manager at Trocellen Italia to the more challenging role of IT Manager. In 2006, when Trocellen became part of the Furukawa Group, we had to rebuild the entire Trocellen information system from scratch. During that period, I worked closely with the then Head of Corporate IT. When he moved on to a new role within the company, I was asked to take over his position.

What are your main responsibilities today?

I am responsible for defining and implementing Trocellen’s Information Technology and Digitalization strategy. My role is to support the organization in achieving its business objectives by providing effective and efficient digital tools that enable business processes. I carry out this mission together with a team of eight professionals located across the various companies within the Trocellen Group.

You have been working here for about 24 years. Why do you still enjoy being part of Trocellen?

The challenges and opportunities to think, imagine, and turn ideas into reality are what keep me motivated. Trocellen gives people a great deal of freedom to take initiative. If you have an idea and can support it with solid analysis and a strong business case, you have an excellent chance of bringing it to life.

Could you tell us a little about your private life or hobbies so that colleagues can get to know you better? How do you balance work and personal life?

I have been married to my wife, Rita, for 26 years, and we have two children: a 24-year-old son and a 21-year-old daughter. Although work takes up a significant part of my time, I have always tried to be present for the most important moments in my family’s life and to be fully focused whenever I spend time with them.

My main hobbies are photography and travelling, which I often combine. In addition, I am part of the management team of Pallacanestro Concorezzo, a local basketball club.

What advice would you give to new colleagues who would like to build a successful career at Trocellen?

My advice is simple: do your best.
