Tell us about how long you’ve been working for the company and what position you started in?
I have been working in Trocellen SEA (TSEA) since 2017, this year would be my 9th year working here. I started in the Marketing Department as a Marketing Executivev.
What kind of background and studies did you come from?
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Economics, Trocellen is actually my first job until today.
How did you get being promoted?
I was promoted multiple times throughouto my career in TSEA. I believe I was promoted mainly because of my problem solving attitude. I took every hurdle as my responsibility and tried to clear it as efficiently as possible.
What are your main tasks/responsibilities today?
I oversee the entire Industrial Foam Solution (IFS) BU today, which represents around 80% of TSEA’s sales revenue. Under my care is the Sales Team, Marketing Team, Specification Team and Sales Support Team.
You are working here about 9 years now. Why do you still love to be here?
I still love working here for over 9 years mainly because of the culture. Whenever we faced a problem in the company, I see the team work and effort to help one another and complement each other. Also the leisure activities that are planned here in TSEA really helps to foster a closer, almost family like, relationship between the colleagues.
Could you please tell a bit about your private life or hobbies to let you know better? How can you reconcile the work and the private life?
To be very honest, I still struggle to clearly separate my private and work life. Even during my weekends, I can’t help but think about work and all the problems I have yet to solve. But I try my best to relax by doing the things I love, such as replying emails and preparing PowerPoint Slides. (I’m joking). Some of my passions include cars, watches and watching movies.
What would you recommend to the new colleagues to be able to build a similarly successful career at Trocellen?
I would recommend new colleagues to see every hurdle as a challenge to overcome rather than an obstacle that stops you from moving forward. Talk to people, consult other teams to find solution, instead of avoiding it. You will learn a lot from this attitude and it will definitely get you recognized.
