Starting as a machine operator 25 years ago, Ibrahim has built his career through dedication, responsibility and a positive attitude. Today, he helps ensure smooth production while leading and supporting his team every day.

Tell us how long you’ve been working for the company and what position you started in.

I joined Trocellen 25 years ago as a machine operator.

What kind of educational and professional background do you have?

After completing secondary school, I attended vocational school. Due to personal reasons, I had to leave before finishing my studies and started working at a small family-owned company as a machine operator.

Because it was a small company, I had the opportunity to take on many different responsibilities. In addition to operating machines, I also worked as a truck driver and forklift operator. Thanks to my commitment and reliability, I contributed successfully to the company for more than 14 years while gaining extensive practical experience.

How did you progress to your current position?

I have always taken my responsibilities seriously, and my supervisor recognized and appreciated my commitment. After about two years, I was promoted to Team Leader. Five years later, I was promoted again to Assistant Converting.

What are your main responsibilities today?

My responsibilities include planning employee and shift schedules, ensuring product quality, workplace safety, and maintaining order and cleanliness in the production area. I also train employees and support the onboarding of new colleagues. In addition, I coordinate and monitor production orders and ensure that production runs smoothly and efficiently.

You have been working here for 25 years. Why do you still enjoy working at Trocellen?

I really enjoy my job. Trocellen is an international and multicultural company, and that’s something I truly appreciate. I enjoy working with people from different countries and learning from different cultures.

Could you tell us a little about your private life or hobbies? How do you balance work and private life?

I have been married for 35 years and am the father of three grown-up children. Four years ago, I also became the proud grandfather of a wonderful grandchild. Our family also includes a lovely Jack Russell mixed-breed dog, with whom I enjoy taking evening walks.

In my free time, I enjoy driving, cycling, meeting friends and spending time with my family. One of my greatest pleasures is playing football with my grandchild. I also love travelling and enjoying holidays together with my family.

What advice would you give to new colleagues who would like to build a successful career at Trocellen?

My advice is to keep work and personal problems separate whenever possible, approach challenges with a positive attitude, and never give up, even during difficult times. With perseverance and optimism, you can achieve a great deal.
